and from July on the Third Saturday of each month too - next one on 17 July 2010

NEW DEVELOPMENT FOR MOLD MARKET
From July 2010, Mold Farmers' Market will be open on both the first and the third Saturdays of each month.

Mold is a remarkable town: one of the last true market towns of North Wales.  We hope local produce from across the region will flow in to her laden trestle tables!   The Town Council knows a good thing when it sees it and is busily encouraging both producers and shoppers to create together a truly convivial, good food town.  Of course Cittaslow Mold is already busy promoting "Slow Food".  See www.cittaslowmold.co.uk.

What is the catalyst for a true food culture?  The conversation a regional husbandry has with a regional cuisine.  That's a conversation only for a market setting.  Is there something we producers should be growing?  Visit the markets and let us know...

At the Church Hall, King Street, Mold - 9.00am to 2.00pm
A food only market with many of your regular suppliers

Celyn Farmers' Market (Northop):
Third Sunday of each month - next one on 18 July 2010

Northop Farmers' Market is now over 10 years old!

Regular time: 9.00am to 1.00pm
The market is held in the pack-house at the Welsh College of Horticulture
(access is via the Garden Centre entrance, it will be well signed and has plenty of hard standing car parking).

OTHER NEWS:

New photos of Celyn Farmers' Markets on this website...

Josh Blake is ten years old. He has regularly visited the markets with his mother, to shop for local produce from the many producers that attend.

He recently took his camera along with him... and we are showcasing some of the results on pages of this website.

Many thanks to Josh for helping us to promote Celyn Farmer's Markets.
